Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is pretty cheap on the UK Switch eShop right now

Get it, ARMS, and Splatoon 2 for £33.29 each

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is pretty cheap on the UK Switch eShop right now

Now I know what you're thinking - "Ric, I already own a Switch, so of course I have Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, why on Earth do you think I need to know about this sale?" And I know you're right, but hear me out. Some people don't. And that should be fixed.

To celebrate the start of 2019, Nintendo has chucked Mario Kart 8 Deluxe on sale in the UK eShop, so it's now available for £33.29. If you don't already own it, or you want to switch to a digital copy, that's a heck of a price to do so.

Elsewhere in the Switch sale, you'll find ARMS and Splatoon 2 for the same price, Octopath Traveller for £29.99, 1-2-Switch! for £27.99, Snipperclips for £12.59, and Rocket League for £7.50. It's a good time to use up any Gold Points you have lying around and snag yourself some of the best games on the system.

If you're still hacking away at your 3DS games, then there's a bunch of sales on there too, including Kirby Triple Deluxe, Miitopia, and Super Mario Land 3D. You can check out all the games available in the new round of sales on Nintendo's own website.

I'd just like to take a second here to note that we in the UK are getting absolutely shafted in these deals, while Japan is experiencing a much better raft of sales. Seriously - over there you can find Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker, Fire Emblem Heroes, Donkey Kong: Tropical Freeze, Golf Story, and much more with a healthy chunk of money knocked off.

I don't know about the US, so apologies to our readers over there - let me know if there's anything tasty in your sales.

And let us know if you're getting any of the games mentioned! I'm seriously considering swapping my physical edition of 1-2-Switch for the digital version. I just love having things on my SD card, y'know?
