Fancy grabbing Stardew Valley or Getting Over It with Bennet Foddy on the cheap? Well, you're in luck - over on the App Store, both of those games and a bunch more are currently running at 50% or more off their usual prices.

That's a pretty hefty saving for Stardew Valley, which will normally run you £7.99/$7.99 on your average day. The rest of the deals aren't quite so dramatic, but there's a tidy selection of games on offer, so you're more than likely to find one that tickles your fancy and gets your wallet open.

Oh, but, uh, you've only got until the end of today to get them. Sorry! The deals run out on January 3rd, so unless you're quick, you're going to miss out on your chance to play these great games on the cheap. So hopefully you've already seen the deals and we're not breaking the news or anything!

Just what are those games, you ask? Great question! We've got the full list in this article - just hit the link below the first entry to find out what else you can grab on this glorious sales day.

1. Stardew Valley

Price: £3.99/$3.99

What can be said about Stardew Valley that hasn't been said before? Not a whole lot, if we're being honest. It's a brilliant farming and life management simulator that fills a very large void left by the sharp drop in quality of Harvest Moon games, and now it's on smaller screens to boot.

You'll be planting and collecting crops, rearing animals, building up your farm, finding love, getting married, dungeon crawling, working with a local witch, fishing, taking down capitalism singlehandedly… basically everything you want to do in the real world, except without having to put in any strenuous exercise on your own behalf.

2. Bring You Home

Price: £0.99/$0.99

Bring You Home is another cutesy puzzler from the creators of Love You to Bits, a magnificent game that combines brains and emotions into a delicious mixture.

Bring You Home follows a small gloopy alien hero who travels all over the world trying to find his missing pet, solving puzzles and other problems as he goes. And it's well worth checking out.

3. Marching Order

Price: £0.99/$0.99

Marching Order completely passed us by when it first launched, though we honestly regret it - it's a magnificent looking logic puzzler with cute animals, which means it's basically perfect.

You need to arrange the animals in your marching band so that they're happy in their positions and will perform without causing too much drama. Simple, sure, but we can imagine it'll get super tough further down the line.

4. The Escapists

Price: £1.99/$1.99

You know how your Dad always likes to watch The Great Escape at Christmas? Give him this instead, so next year he'll just play out the film on his phone rather than bothering you with it.

The Escapists has you, well, escaping. Prison, to be precise, using a range of everyday tools to batter guards, dig tunnels, and worm your way out of your confines, all while avoiding getting caughtin random searches and the like.

5. Getting Over It with Bennet Foddy

Price: £1.99/$1.99

Getting Over It is an iconic game about trying and failing to move a man stuck in a pot over a mountain with naught but a hammer.

It will annoy you so much you may break your iOS device while playing it. But master it, and oh my word, it will feel good. Or just go watch a Let's Play of it and see how fast people are at finishing it these days.

6. Alto's Odyssey

Price: £0.49/$0.99

I've spent enough time recently banging on about Alto's Odyssey. If you haven't played it yet, buy it right now. Check our video review below if you're not convinced. And then stop being a fool and buy it.

7. Oddmar

Price: £1.99/$1.99

Oddmar may have a Rayman vibe about it, but it's no mere clone - this is one of the finest platforming games on mobile.

It looks gorgeous, it plays fantastically, and you're doing yourself a disservice if you don't try it out.

8. Alphaputt

Price: £1.99/$1.99

Alphaputt is a gorgeous game of mini-golf played entirely on letters of the alphabet. Hence the name.

But these courses aren't just boring old letters. They're each kitted out with a theme relevant to a word beginning with the letter, and you can play them in the order of your favourite word if you so choose.
