ToeJam and Earl’s return to the video game scene has sadly seen multiple delays since ToeJam & Earl: Back in the Groove was formally announced all the way back in 2015. The end is in sight though, excited fans will be pleased to hear. ToeJam & Earl: Back in the Groove now has an official release date set for March, along with a brand new trailer to commemorate the big news.

Back in the Groove marks the triumphant return of a classic ‘90s franchise. ToeJam and Earl are back for a fourth round of adventures that take place through a variety of worlds and 25 levels that are sure to leave you feeling nostalgic for the Mega Drive era. Scaling difficulty levels make Back in the Groove an approachable experience for newcomers and series pros.

ToeJam & Earl: Back in the Groove is expected to bring the series back to its roots, serving as a true sequel to the original ToeJam & Earl video game. The game was funded on Kickstarter, allowing creator Greg Johnson to pursue his dream project without the pressure from a larger publisher.

ToeJam & Earl: Back in the Groove arrives on Nintendo Switch on March 1, 2019.
