If you're going to race fast cars, then you should try and drive the faster car, right? That's the logic in Asphalt 9: Legends that will carry you to victory.

We've been doing a fair bit of racing and now we know what it takes to upgrade your vehicles and get ahead of the competition.

In this guide we'll tell you everything you need to know in order to upgrade your vehicles to the max, so read on and prepare to speed ahead.

1
Max rank

Right, so we're going to beef up a car until no one else can take it down. So, which do we pick?

Naturally we're going to choose from the cars you have unlocked, and you can simply see how powerful each one can become by tapping on them.

You can see their current rank and their max rank, and the cars with a higher max rank will inevitably be better than their low-rank counterparts, so focus on upgrading and racing them.

2
Gold to upgrade

Right, now that you've chosen which cars you're going to focus on upgrading, you'll need the gold to do it.

That is a fairly simple task of playing the game, of course. Career mode will give you big cash rewards for clearing new stages, and you'll get more for winning multiplayer races.

The cost of upgrading a car fully is quite high, so make sure you upgrade as you keep racing.

3
Uncommon upgrades

Once you've upgrading your vehicle with gold credits, you'll now be tasked with finding special items to combine with your car in order to push it further.

These upgrade parts can only be used once each, making using them on a specific car a very difficult decision.

To unlock a few of these, make your way through career mode, where you will occasionally unlock a few, and will be able to progress your cars further.

4
Career professional

As we've said, career mode will get you gold, blueprints, and uncommon upgrades. That means, naturally, progressing is the fastest way to go fast. Um, yeah.

Even if your current cars aren't pleasing you, then you'll be able to collect blueprints for new ones, or just upgrade your garage's level, allowing you access to new cards and vehicles.

The higher up the ranks you climb, the faster you'll be able to drive, so keep progressing through your career and you'll be faster than most.
