There's something decidedly familiar about Yo! Let's Stretch, which has just come out for iP. It's a one-touch platformer that sees you extending your character's body in order to get from one platform to the next. It's sort of like Silly Sausage in Meat Land hanging out with Doodle Jump.

And sure that sounds pretty good. You play with one hand, and the main aim here is chasing your own high score. There are different characters to unlock as well, but they're mainly just different skins rather than offering anything mechanically different from one-another.

There's nothing wrong with that, but there's a sluggishness to the play here that's a bit annoying. It's hard to get the timing right on your stretches, which is going to lead to you getting some low scores for the first half an hour of play.

Yo! Let's Stretch could get its claws into you if it clicks early enough, but for the most part there are more interesting one-touch games waiting to be discovered on the App Store. In fact Yo! Let's Up from the same developer will keep you entertained for longer. This one's fine, but it's nothing more than that.

If you really want to get some stretches in this weekend though, you can click right here to grab the game from the App Store for free.
