Not a phenomenal list, but still pretty good overall

It wasn't too long ago that we found out Sony was hopping on the teeny console bandwagon with their own micro-console, the PlayStation Classic. Today the full list of 20 pre-loaded games has been announced and it's better than I'd expected.

Back in September, Sony announced that the PlayStation Classic was coming to retail December 3rd for £89/$99. Though the console's set to launch with 20 games pre-loaded in the system, only six had been announced at the time.

When I covered the news, I figured that neither Spyro or Crash Bandicoot would be listed (since they've had huge HD remasters in the past couple of years), but hoped that the likes of Metal Gear Solid, Cool Boarders, and Resident Evil were on the cards, among other classics. Well, at least I got a few of them right. Here's the full list.

  • Battle Arena Toshinden
  • Cool Boarders 2
  • Destruction Derby
  • Final Fantasy VII
  • Grand Theft Auto
  • Intelligent Qube
  • Jumping Flash
  • Metal Gear Solid
  • Mr. Drillers
  • Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee
  • Revelations: Persona
  • Rayman
  • Resident Evil Director's Cut
  • R4: Ridge Racer Type 4
  • Super Puzzle Fight II Turbo
  • Syphon Filter
  • Tekken 3
  • Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six
  • Twisted Metal
  • Wild Arms

Compared to the games announced on the NES/SNES Mini, the micro Mega Drive, and even Nintendo Switch's huge online catalogue of NES games, there are a good few titles I'd be happy to play again in this line-up and plenty from my childhood. Would I pay £89 to play them again though? Eh, that's a decision for future Emily to make after weeping over her bank balance.

What do you guys think of the offerings? Let us know in the comments below.
