The Room 2, Dragalia Lost, and a bunch of puzzle games were the most important titles of the week across the Steel Media family - but there's plenty more to read up on.

We've scoured the work of AppSpy, 148Apps, PocketGamer.biz, and our other friends to bring you the absolute best in the stories we didn't write, but still think you should read.

Some will surely make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside over our shared passion for great mobile games, whilst others may have you fearing for their future.

"Perfectly balanced. As all things should be." – the purple guy from that one movie.

AppSpy

Over on App Spy, Emily brought us the top 5 artistic point and click mobile puzzlers for iOS. The carefully selected list features some of the finest mobile games available, irrespective of their genre. So, if you're in need of a good story or perhaps a small break from all the shooty bang bangs out there, I'd definitely advise giving this one a gander.

148Apps

It's still the spooky season, and good old former PG intern Elizabeth is over on 148Apps talking about why The Room 2 is the scariest mobile game she's ever played.

Need something a little more lighthearted? Here's some tips on the Dragalia Lost party members you should be upgrading if you don't have any 5-star heroes yet.

PocketGamer.biz

Nipping on over to PocketGamer.biz now - they discussed how fewer than 15 % of mobile games retain more than 35 % of new players after day one. These slightly scary stats come from GameAnalytics' Mobile Gaming Benchmark report. This one is certainly worth checking out for further insight into the report itself and to find out what this might mean for mobile developers.

If that sounds a little too grim, then they've also got a super interesting interview with Digit Game Studios' Om Tandon, one of the Pocket Gamer Connects London 2019 speakers. There's a ton of useful insight into the industry here, and a reassuring tone of optimism and excitement - just in case that last article made you feel a bit sad.
