Level-5, the studio behind Ni no Kuni and the Professor Layton series, is reviving one of their cancelled projects from the PSP era. Ushiro is a horror RPG that will now be headed to Nintendo Switch, according to a recent issue of Famitsu magazine.

Ushiro, at least according to the game’s original trailer, feels a bit like a darker take on Yokai Watch, which was also developed by Level-5. Players assume the role of a young protagonist who finds herself interacting with ghosts in her daily life, whether they’re following her throughout Tokyo’s urban sprawl or in spookier settings.

All we know about the game lies in the trailer above. Ushiro is expected to be a turn-based RPG experience, but given Level-5’s track record for clever, well-crafted games, it will be interesting to see how this project turns out on Nintendo Switch.
