Fortnite kicks into full autumn gear with its 6.10 update

Fortnite’s latest update, version 6.10, is a real doozy, introducing a new vehicle, in-game tournaments, and a whole slew of other features and fixes. Epic Games has just released the patch notes, giving us a good look at what we can expect in the new update.

First on the docket is the game’s Battle Royale mode, which has received the Quadcrasher, a two-seat vehicle with boost capabilities that can send you flying through obstacles and into the air. Pair up with a buddy and wreak serious havoc on your enemies.

Fortnite’s also adding an Events tab to the game, featuring a variety of regularly scheduled tournaments that you can sign up for. These events play out over the course of several hours, and you’ll begin each tournament on equal footing. As you progress, though, you will gradually be placed with players with equal points earned in battle. This resets for each new tournament you participate in.

You’ll find new weapons in game too, including the Gravedigger (Save the World mode), which sends Husks to their death, and the Rat King (also Save the World), a semi-automatic weapon that shoots slugs at your opponents.

If you want to really dig into the nitty gritty, you can read the full patch notes over on Fortnite’s official site. The 6.10 update is live now. Don't forget to give our Fortnite Hub for tips, tricks, guides, and more as Fortnite continues to evolve.
