Development for Dragon Quest Builders 2 is making serious headway ahead of its December launch, and we’ll be getting to try a small sample of the game before that happy day. Square Enix is promising a new demo for the game, set to launch on the eShop sometime soon.

Speaking at an event in Japan, Dragon Quest Builders 2 producer Noriyoshi Fujimoto shared that the team would be preparing a demo for the game once development was wrapped up. Square Enix is planning to release the demo ahead of the game’s December release date.

There’s no word on an English language demo, but chances are good, considering we got one for Dragon Quest Builders. If you're not keen on waiting, you can play the Japanese demo if you create a Japanese Nintendo account.

Dragon Quest Builders is a delightful crafting and resource-management game set in the well-loved Dragon Quest universe. We were so enchanted by it we gave it a Gold Award. The sequel is shaping up to be similar to the original, but expect some improvements and a brand new story.

Dragon Quest Builders 2 launches in Japan this December. There’s no word just yet on an English localisation.
