The Walking Dead: Our World is getting TV show tie-in missions
New Season 9 related content dropping weekly
Great news today for fans of the transmedia goliath that is The Walking Dead. AMC Games has just announced that The Walking Dead: Our World will soon receive a selection of missions that are directly tied to Season 9 of the show. The first batch of this new content will drop October 8th, then every week after that.
Players can expect to receive characters from the show as rewards for finishing the new missions. Some of these will take the form of a single-encounter, whilst others will be multi-mission ordeals.
In addition to all of that, the game also got a new promo video which features Michael Cudlitz (Abraham Ford) and Josh McDermitt (Eugene Porter) from the show.
For those not in the know, The Walking Dead: Our World is an augmented reality title where, with the aid of your favourite characters, you'll have to take on hordes of zombies in challenging encounters, and maybe rescue the odd survivor.
If that sounds neat to you, then you can nab the game for free on the App Store or Google Play right now. The abundance of new content is certainly impressive and giving it a try is a bit of a no-brainer if you're already a fan of the show.
