Telltale's The Walking Dead might get an ending after all
Final two episodes still stuck in limbo?
Despite overwhelming layoffs at the company, Telltale Games is reportedly still looking into ways of finishing the final two episodes of its beloved Walking Dead series.
As first brought to light by Kotaku Australia, the third episode was left in a near-finished state. According to their sources, negotiations are still underway as Telltale attempts to hand the final episodes over to a partner studio, who will then bring on former Telltale employees on a contract basis to ensure the completion of the season.
Earlier this month, Telltale laid off around 90% of its employees, offering them no warning or severance. These decisions resulted in a furore regarding poor treatment of staff within the video game industry.
The decision to bring on some former Telltale employees would perhaps be commendable, but it remains to be seen if any of these plans or partnerships will come together successfully.
An initial agreement was said to be outlined by the 28th of September, although this was reportedly a soft deadline for Telltale.
