Thanks to an announcement from Spike Chunsoft earlier today, we now know that Steins;Gate Elite will be releasing on Switch on February 19th 2019.

For those not in the know, Steins;Gate Elite is a remastered version of the original Steins;Gate which was released all the way back in 2009. It's a visual novel that follows a group of gifted students as they develop and test technology that ultimately allows them to alter the past.

Returning fans will be glad to know that Steins;Gate Elite isn’t your typical basic remaster. With this one, you can expect new animated scenes straight from the anime which will surely help to build upon the game's already impressive immersive qualities.

In addition to these new scenes, Switch players will also get access to 8-BIT ADV STEINS;GATE, a smaller mystery-packed adventure where you play as returning character Okarin. You can check out the trailer below.

For an interesting take on Steins;Gate that isn't unambiguously positive, you can check out our review of the Vita release from 2015.

All of these new additions make it seem like Steins;Gate Elite will likely be the definitive version of an already beloved game. I definitely fancy picking this one up when it comes to Switch on February 19, 2019.
