Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles is making a comeback on Nintendo Switch

Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles is coming to Nintendo Switch sometime next year in a new, remastered edition.

The Final Fantasy spin-off originally debuted on the GameCube back in 2003, breaking ground for it’s interesting local multiplayer that employed the Game Boy Advance as controllers. Your character’s menus and stats were displayed on the Game Boy screen, encouraging players to dictate their moves and strategies out loud.

Crystal Chronicles was a bit ahead of its time, what with all of the coordination involved and limited technology to see out its vision. A new home on the Switch should suit the game perfectly, possibly allowing for both local and online multiplayer.

Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered Edition is making the journey to Nintendo Switch in 2019. We’ll keep you updated as details unfold.
