Tropico for iPad still doesn't have a release date, but it does have a price now
Get your finances in order
Tropico is coming to iPad in the future - we knew that much. What we didn't know was how exactly it's going to be monetised. Until now, that is.
Developer Feral Interactive tweeted earlier that the game will cost $11.99/£11.99/€12.99. That's a one-time purchase - no IAPs in sight here.
El Presidente has named his price: this autumn, buy Tropico for iPad from the App Store for $11.99/£11.99/€12.99. That's one simple payment and no in-app purchases. Buy once, rule forever! pic.twitter.com/QYrcrRUZmJ — Feral Interactive (@feralgames) September 7, 2018
That could be considered a bit pricey, especially for a mobile game. But Tropico is packed to the gills with strategic, city-building action, so it's probably worth every penny.
We've already seen some footage of the game come from Gamescom, and it is looking like a beauty. The controls have been built from the ground up for mobile, and the whole thing looks smooth as you like. We wouldn't expect any less from Feral, of course.
There's still no firm release date - just an "autumn 2018" window. But now we know that Tropico on iPad is getting to set you back $11.99/£11.99, and there won't be any extra purchases on top of that.
