Dragon Quest Builders 2 launches on Switch December 20th in Japan, but what about a western release date?

Today Square Enix announced that Dragon Quest Builders 2 will be hitting Japan on December 20th for 7,800 yen (about £50), but a western release date has yet to come to light. Of course you can pick the game up in December, but I'd suggest only doing so if you can read Japanese.

Over on Square Enix's Official Japanese YouTube channel a live stream of the game went up which revealed multiple aspects of the game, including price, release date, and a whole host of features. As has been my downfall before at such events my Japanese is very poor. Thankfully Gematsu's on point.

If you're at Tokyo Game show (Sept 20th-23rd), the game will be available to play for the first time and there'll be another event taking place on September 22nd. Here, more information will be revealed.

In terms of content, we got to see the full opening sequences depending on who you play as and a little bit of gameplay. Safe to say it's looking very good indeed and it's getting harder and harder to wait.

You can watch the full stream right here. Though there's no word on a western release, I hope we'll only have to wait a month or so after it launches in Japan, if not sooner. But, maybe that's optimistic of me.
