If you haven't heard it yet, CD Projekt Red has just launched a new studio, Spokko, which will solely focus on mobile games. While we don't know exactly what'll be coming out of it just yet, we've got a lot to hope for.

Lead by Maciej Weiss and Rafal Staszewski, it's said in the announcement article that Spokko will have access to CDPR's intellectual property. There are a couple of Witcher(ish) games on the App Store already, but perhaps with this new development we'll see more from the company in terms of Projekt Red's existing IPs, Witcher and Cyberpunk 2077, and maybe some new ones too.

I know Gwent is a small thing to hope for compared to what games could come out of the new studio, but I'll wait as long as it takes.

"We were elated to hear that CD PROJEKT believes in our idea. Our cooperation with Rafal and other members of the team goes back a long way. We have substantial experience with casual game development, but this time around we want to work on a far more advanced and ambitious project, offering new possibilities for gamers. It's a very exciting challenge," says Spokko co-creator, Maciej Weiss.

Spokko's already looking to hire a 3D animator, Game Developer, ART QA, Network Programmer, and more over on its website.
