The deck-building PvP battler Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Realm War heads to mobile later this year

Announced earlier today, Pixel Toys will be bringing Games Workshop's Age of Sigmar: Realm War to iOS and Android in a way that's yet to be seen on mobile. Though there's no definite date yet, it'll be launching sometime this autumn.

Realm War is a real-time PvP battler in which you'll collect, level up, and unleash your own warband decks in an attempt to defeat your opponent. Build your decks around three unit types - Generals, Heroes, and Summons - and meet each challenge with a different tactical response.

The real challenge here is knowing when to unleash Special Powers and when to play legendary cards. One wrong move and you'll have to kiss become a bloodthirsty Warlord goodbye.

"Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Realm War really feels like a leap forward in the ambitions of Pixel Toys as a developer," said co-founder of Pixel Toys, Andy Wafer.

"We've built our team and our reputation around bringing our experience in console development to bear in the mobile gaming space. With our last release, Warhammer 40,000: Freeblade, we set out to create the most exciting, high impact action title for touch screen devices and now we're set to do the same for tactical action games with Realm War."

If you're super keen to give it a go it's also been soft launched on the App Store and Google Play in Poland, Romania, Malaysia, and Vietnam.
