Will Super Cat Tales 2 be delayed?
We desperately hope not
During a recent devlog on the Neutronized YouTube channel, the creator of Super Cat Tales 2 highlights some of the game's lovely music but then goes on to briefly discuss struggles he and the team are encountering with development of the sequel.
While it's been working on the game since January this year, the team are now starting to worry about how it's going to financially support the rest of the game's development.
Neutronized has seen interest from publishers, one of which was even willing to buy the Super Cat Tales intellectual property, but the team want to keep the game truly independent and avoid any interference.
As an alternative, they're considering setting up a Patreon page to get some support directly from the fans. This seems like a good bet since it would mean that they might not have to halt production on the game, while also maintaining their own vision of what they want Super Cat Tales 2 to be.
Super Cat Tales was an excellent platformer, its accessibility, nice level design and charming story earned itself a gold award in our review. We expect the sequel to be just as meticulously detailed and polished as its predecessor, and we hope that its development goes more smoothly in the future.
