Reigns: Her Majesty is launching an expansion pack on iOS and Android this week and it's totally free

Oh, pals. If there was ever a piece of news I wanted most in the world today it would be this. Reigns: Her Majesty has an expansion coming this week and I'm so very excited.

If any of you missed the trick with Reigns or Reigns: Her Majesty, they're card-based narrative games with a bit of a Tinder-feel to them. Swipe one way for yes and the other for no to make your decisions and try to keep your empire harmonious. Fail to do so and, well, there's a variety of deaths you can obtain.

We gave it a Silver Award in its review, saying: "Reigns: Her Majesty is a unique proposition in the mobile game space, taking full advantage of the mobile form-factor (even breaking the fourth wall once or twice) by delivering a full choose-your-own-adventure game in a Tinder-themed shell, and it's brilliant."

Personally, it's one of the few games that takes up a permanent position on my iPad and it's great fun to jump in for just a few rounds.

Though there's very little information, bar the Tweet above, we're stoked to see what new cards the game will get and what new pathways open up. The update will be available on iOS, Android, and PC and will be entirely free.
