Pichu, Ice Climbers, and many Super Smash Bros. favorites are getting amiibo

Nintendo has big plans for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, with new promises of amiibo for all veteran characters coming at some point in the near future. The company revealed on its Japanese website that Pichu and Ice Climbers are getting amiibo soon. However, Nintendo also announced that any Smash Bros. fighter that doesn’t have an amiibo will be getting one in time, including characters like Snake and Young Link.

This is pretty big news for fans, as every character in Smash Bros. history will feature in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. All characters that weren’t included in the Wii U and 3DS versions of Smash will be getting their own amiibo for the first time.

Players can use amiibo in Super Smash Bros. to add that character to a fight as a figure player. You can fight with or against them, leveling them up to improve their stats and learn new techniques.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate arrives on Nintendo Switch on December 7, 2018.
