Celebrate the Pokemon Go Summer Tour with special events and Pokemon appearances

Pokemon Go is in the midst of the Summer Tour 2018, and that means plenty of special events and increased Pokemon appearances for everyone.

On weekends throughout the summer players can help Professor Willow with his global challenge by completing field research tasks within the game.

For the purposes of the challenge, the world has been divided into four regions, and each region will have to complete a certain number of field research tasks in order to win bonuses.

The field research events will run from June 30th to July 1st, July 14th to July 15th, and there will be one more yet-undetermined weekend in the later summer. The challenges coincide with events being held in Dortmund, Chicago, and Yokosuka.

Even if you can't attend the events in person, you'll still be able to celebrate. During the first weekend, all players will see an increase in the Grass- and Poison-type pokemon Roselia, and will have the chance to catch a shiny Roselia.

During the second weekend players will get bonus stardust for catching Plusle and Minun, and will similarly have a chance to find their shiny iterations.
