Dragon Ball FighterZ' Japanese Switch release comes with a free game and much more

Thanks to the folks over at Gematsu, we now know when Dragon Ball FighterZ will be coming out for Switch, at least in Japan – September 27th.

FighterZ features a new "Extreme Type" control, making it easier to create special moves using L and R, along with other buttons. We also know that the game will support two player share play, with each person taking a Joy-Con to control their character.

In Japan, the Switch game will include a download code for the SNES game Dragon Ball Z: Super Butoden, early access to the characters Goku and Vegeta, and a super rare card for the Super Dragon Ball Heroes arcade game.

Whether those bonuses – and more importantly, the release date – will transfer over to the Western version of the game, it's hard to say.

But it's at least encouraging to confirm that the Japanese version is on the way. With any luck, we'll hear more about the Western version soon.
