Aside from using your Joy-Con to throw Pokeballs at, and capture, Pokemon, the Poke Ball Plus gives you a more realistic experience. Well, as close to the real thing as you're going to get.

When using it with the upcoming Switch games you can 'throw' it at wild Pokemon, since it has motion control capabilities, and watch as it lights up. After blinking and vibrating, the Pokemon inside lets out a unique cry (which sounds a little horrifying in a way) to make it feel more immersive.

The Poke Ball Plus is also one of the elements that works across Pokemon: Let's Go and Pokemon GO. Like Pokemon GO Plus, you can use the Poke Ball Plus to capture Pokemon without even looking at your phone.

So long as it's connected to your mobile and the GO app, the it'll also count your steps to help you catch Eggs and get Candy for your Buddy Pokemon.

The Poke Ball Plus launches on November 16th later this year. There's no word on price yet, so we'll let you know when we catch wind of it.
