Shadowgun Legends just might be the best FPS on mobile devices. Just look at our review! Great graphics, involving gameplay and a robust selection of guns can only get us excited.

We’ve been playing a bunch of Shadowgun Legends and we’ve come up with a bunch of combat tips that’ll take you from peashooter to expert sniper.

There’s loads to do in Shadowgun Legends, and these are just a few tips to adapt you to combat. Read on to become the best gunslinger on mobile.

Shadowgun Legends

Taking aim, firing range

Two things that you will no doubt adjust to quickly and yet, can be somewhat frustrating in the heat of the moment, are taking aim and getting into firing range.

Weapons in Shadowgun Legends don’t have the best range frankly, and bullets will only shoot while aiming at an enemy within the firing range. So you need to get fairly close, and can double tap on the right side of the screen to aim down your weapon’s iron sights.

Weapons all have different ranges, so you’ll need to feel out the distances you can shoot from, and don’t get stuck aiming down sights from a distance, where you’ll be a sitting duck.

Different kinds of guns

The above rules go for almost every kind of weapon. Almost. But there are a few exceptions, one being the sniper rifle variations.

The sniper rifle, unlike the other weapons, actually has a fire button! Yep, no auto firing while aiming for this one, as each shot should be measured and calculated.

A weapon which is slightly less measured and calculated however is the rocket launcher. You can lock on to enemies, but a quick fire at the ground might work out better?

Essential pick ups

When battling against alien enemies you’ll see them drop ammo and more, but what you want to particularly look out for are larger drops with an alien skull on them - these will net you pieces of gear and armour to get you stronger.

Even when in the PVP modes you’ll be wanting to pick up ammo and items. You can find ammo boxes that you can hold to open, and you’ll get ammo for your special weapons.

Make sure to walk over your enemies’ corpses to pick up their gear and ammo too.

To be the strongest

Possibly the most obvious tip, but after every mission of battle you should be checking your equipment. Guns, armour and more will help get your overall combat power up.

As said, you can pick up pieces of gear from missions and as mission rewards, but you’ll get the best equipment from decoding pieces of gear from Pedro.

You can pick up the equipment to decode as mission rewards, and upon decoding they’ll turn in to rare weapons and armour.

Duel to the death

When you’re done doing the fairly simple PVE campaign missions, you can start working away at the PVP missions, with the first one you unlock being a straightforward duel mode - you and another player, head to head.

This will get you used to PVP combat before going against more players later on. In addition to your usual weapon loadout, you’ll also get access to special piece of equipment you can put down, like a turret. Obviously always good to get out whenever possible.

The PVP is the real meat of Shadowgun Legends, so once you’re used to PVE, make sure to jump into this mode.
