Bandai Namco opens pre-registrations for One Piece: Bounty Rush - will it be worth the wait or more of the same?

Luffy and his straw-hat pirates are sailing onto mobile once again in One Piece: Bounty Rush. This time around, One Piece fans will be treated to a multiplayer team-based brawler. Join up with three other friends to take part in fast-paced 4v4 battles that look to take place on a sprawling battlefield. You’ll fight other players to collect as many berries as possible while scrapping with your enemies.

Each character has a set class with its own unique abilities. Fighters are your damage dealers, while the Warrior helps with defense, soaking up damage. The supporter, as you might have guessed, provides a menu of buffs and debuffs to help your fellow fighters. Ranged characters and the Swordsman round out the arsenal.

There’s been a smattering of One Piece mobile games, the latest being One Piece: Thousand Storm, an action RPG. The games aren’t exactly the most revolutionary you’ll find on the App Store, but they’ve been well constructed in the past, and sure to please fans of this ageless anime series.
