2017 was a great year for digital board games. But it was also a great year for physical board games. Some real gems came out in the last 12 months.

So we thought we'd pick some that we'd love to see coming to mobile in 2018. Fingers crossed that these happen. And if you've got your own suggestions, feel free to chuck them in the comments section at the bottom of the article.

Sagrada

A game that's all about building the best stained glass windows. There are a few simple rules to follow, but they open up a really exciting competitive experience.

Plus there's a single player mode as well. This one would work brilliantly on mobile if done right.

Magic Maze

A ridiculous co-operative game about running around a dungeon. Four characters, four treasures. Get the right characters to the right treasure and then leg it to the exit.

Sounds simple? Well everything takes place in a three minute timescale. The tension here can be almost unbearable. And hilarious.

Gloomhaven

A big game with big themes about big combat. It's sort of like a D&D campaign in a box. Or 100 D&D campaigns. There's a big focus on combat here.

And sometimes you need to retire your character and take out a new one. This is the sort of massive RPG experience that could work brilliantly on tablets.

Harry used to be really good at Snake on the Nokia 5110. Apparently though, digital snake wrangling isn't a proper job, so now he writes words about games instead.
