Kickstarted in 2014 and released on Steam earlier this year, Hollow Knight is a sprawling and challenging metroidvania making its way to the Switch early next year.

As the titular warrior, you descend into the layers of ruined kingdom that lay beneath the desolate town of Dirtnap; layers of ancient history and unknown dangers await.

Oh, and also this is all a world of bugs and spiders, an organic creepy-crawly version of Gothic grandeur. Agile mantis knights, swarming larva, towering beetle bosses, and other weirder and more deadly denizens lurk in Hollow Knight's gloomy depths.

Boasting a bestiary of over 100 different enemy types, 30 bosses, an array of skill-changing Charms, and myriad secrets to uncover, Hollow Knight features equal parts challenging combat, tricky platforming, and cryptic lore and stories to uncover.
Since release, several major updates have introduced new enemies, new bosses, new abilities and quests, and other additions, with more content coming in the future.

Hollow Knight is expected to release in early 2018; you can also find the game on Steam.
