Because last year's Halloween event was so ghost-filled, we'll be seeing the arrival of Ghastly, Drowzee, Cubone, and their pals again in Pokemon GO - only this time they're bringing more spooky souls along with them.

This is the first time Pokemon from the Hoenn Region will be showing up in the GO universe, but there'll be more where that came from later this year. According to the blog post, Pokemon from the Ruby and Sapphire games should make their way to the game around December.

Pikachu's also decided to get in on the festivities this year as you'll be able to see it sporting a dashing (and adorable) witch's costume. Plus, going out and about with your buddy Pokemon this Halloween will earn you double the Candy by catching, hatching, and transferring Pokemon.

Look out for Sableye, Banette, and more between October 20th and November 2nd, and feel free to share any spooky AR pictures with Niantic using the hashtag #PokemonGOHalloween.
