Skyrim is easily one of the most anticipated game for the Nintendo Switch, whether it's being held in good favour or received with a bad taste. Whatever way you're looking at the upcoming re-release, some new footage came to light overnight and it's looking pretty decent.

Since its tease in October's Switch reveal last year, we haven't really heard that much in terms of how the game's development is going. From the looks of things, at least in docked mode, Skyrim should be a fluid and engaging experience.

From the latest footage by GameXplain, it may not look any different than the editions we're familiar with, but to have the world of Skyrim ready to go in our pockets is pretty damn cool.

However, despite how much I'm looking forward to having the game on a portable platform one major thing the port will probably miss is the mods, especially those from the PC version.

Mods that give us dancing bears, hilarious sound bytes, even more gorgeous landscapes, or ethereal horses add another level of creativity to Skyrim that it sorely needs sometimes to freshen up the grind.

Check out the footage above. There's still no word on the release date or where the game is in its development at the moment, but we'll keep you posted.
