This week The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild has seen an interesting addition from its version 1.3.1 update, namely regarding the news.

According to Nintendo's site, version 1.3.1 gives us the ability to earn in-game items through the news channels themselves. As it says in the patch notes:

"In-game items can now be obtained from launching the software from certain articles distributed through a new News channel ("The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild – Tips from the Wild") which can be accessed through News on the Home menu. Depending on your game progress and location, certain items may not be obtainable."

Whilst that does sound super cool, and will likely be pretty beneficial later on, the first experience of this wasn't quite so exciting as you're gifted a handful of apples and a little bit of raw meat. But that's at least a few hearts, so who am I to complain?

If you've got a Switch and Breath of the Wild, try it out yourself by taking a look at Tips From the Wild and starting the software from the article.
