Hot Five: Zombies!!! gets a sale, Fighting Fantasy Legends suddenly drops, and Galaxy of Pen & Paper is awesome

Good morning, noon, and night to all of you lovely readers. It's that time of week again where we say goodbye to the last seven days and celebrate which five news stories have been the hot - hot - hottest.

This time around we definitely had a busy Thursday as a fair few games dropped faster than my butt down the train station stairs a few days back (true story). Games like Fighting Fantasy Legend, ROME: Total War - Alexander, Tales of the Rays, and more.

Let's take a look at your favourites.

Might & Magic: Elemental Guardians
Aside from a ton of game releases we were definitely not short on soft launches, M&M: Elemental Guardians obviously caught your guys' eye. Hard to blame you, though. It's got nice aesthetics and neat-looking gameplay, so long as its F2P system doesn't dominate it.

Galaxy of Pen & Paper

This one's been on our radar for a while and it already looks like the game's a hit in the mobile games community. Even our tough-as-nails Reviews Editor Harry Slater loved it, giving the spacey RPG a solid 9/10 and Pocket Gamer's Gold Award. Result.

Fighting Fantasy Legends

As I mentioned atop this here article, Fighting Fantasy Legends dropped pretty suddenly this week, making each of our days a little better with dice-rolling, narrative goodness. Based on three of Steve Jackson's epic gamebooks, this one's definitely worth a look if you're into that sort of thing.

Zombies!!!

Because life would be far less chaotic and wonderful without zombies in it, you guys certainly dug the news that this quirky, little board game was on sale. Stepping in at just 99p/99c, that's a bargain if I've ever seen one and it's still going on.

Stormbound: Kingdom Wars

Last but certainly not least is another soft launch. This time it's Kongregate's free to play CCG which looks like it's got charm, style, and maybe a decent game buried in there too. The soft launch is currently live in a few countries, including New Zealand, the Philippines, and Canada, but you know the drill by now. If you fancy getting in on the action, just check out the article above.

That's it for yet another week folks, can you believe it? The Hot Five may or may not be happening next week as I'll be off on a short break, but I'll be returning in full force come August 7th. See you then, friends.
