ROME: Total War - Alexander arrives on iPad later this summer

Cast your mind back a week or so and you might remember that Feral Interactive had a mysterious new game coming out. Well, turns out it's ROME: Total War - Alexander.

Like Barbarian Invasion, Alexander is a stand-alone expansion pack which takes place a century before the original ROME: Total War. Alexander ascends the Macedonian throne and takes on the ambitious quest to conquer the Persian Empire.

The iPad version will be identical to the PC version but will also get the joys of intuitive touch controls, enhanced visuals, mid-battle saves, and full Russian localisation.

ROME: Total War - Alexander will be available on the App Store (iPad only) for $4.99/£4.99/€5.49 later this summer. You don't need to own the first game to enjoy the experience of this expansion.
