Best new iOS and Android games of the week: June 18

What's worth playing on iOS and Android this week? Funny you should ask that. Lean a little closer and we'll tell you.

This is where we let you know what we've been digging from the past seven days of mobile gaming. There isn't one outstanding release like there was last week (with Monument Valley 2), but the general standard has been really strong.

We've been waiting for Framed 2 for ages, and it largely lives up to our expectations. It's another stylish puzzler that has you switching around panels in a crime noir comic book story - but with a healthy additional layer of polish and a few new tricks.

We love a good metroidvania here on PG, but they rarely come as fresh as Forma.8. There's a huge world to explore here, but it's no exactly the traditional adventure-platformer you might be expecting.

Mixing puzzle, action and stealth elements - and far more besides - Mr Future Ninja is a really entertaining mish-mash of a game. A few rough edges spoil the package somewhat, but otherwise this is a delightful little piece of software.

Fowlst calls to mind two of the best retro action-platformers of recent years in Downwell and Super Crate Box. It also features an owl trapped in hell, so bonus points for that.

It's Angry Birds, but not as you know it. Rovio takes a different tack that involves the collecting and evolving of dozens of different bird types, as well as some entertaining 3D flicking action when things get serious.
