Osmo Coding Jam is a unique rhythm game that uses real blocks to teach kids how to code
Time to code
Our mobile devices are great at bringing new ways to teach our kids in interactive ways. Osmo is one of these apps, using real blocks and rhythm to teach our kids how to code. It all sounds nuts but it's actually using little blocks like you'd use elements of coding to repeat or create a pattern that follows the character's movement on screen.
It uses a unique tool to recognize the blocks in front of the iPad and transforms it into a mixed reality game. You'll need to head here to get all the necessary elements but it still amazes me how there are new ways to learn complex subjects everyday simply by using our mobile devices.
