Council System revealed in The Walking Dead: March to War, coming soon to iOS and Android

I'd love to say I had a release date for The Walking Dead: March to War, but sadly there's not one just yet. However, there is a little bit more information courtesy of Lead Designer, Michael Leoncavallo.

For those who don't know, The Walking Dead: March to War is a story-based multiplayer strategy game based around the familiar characters we've all grown to love and hate. Like any survival game, the main aim is to band together with people who won't stab you in the back, manage your resources, and try not to get eaten by shuffling Walkers.

Today, Leoncavallo revealed the Council System, an utterly vital segment of the game which allows players to use their favourite Walking Dead character to lead their survivors.

Unlike survivors, Council Members have to be gained by collecting Comic Covers. Once all of the Cover has been collected, that Council Member will unlock, and voila.

Each Council Member excels in different areas, for example some may make the group move faster or collect more resources. Choosing who leads your party can also affect the outcome of a battle, not only by who deals the most damage but also by the ability of the Council Member leading them.

When the game launches there will be 12 Council Members available - 11 well-known characters from the series, and one original from Disruptor Beam.
