Ultra Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers battles its way to Switch late next month

There can't be a gamer alive who hasn't had a go at Street Fighter at some point in their lives. Lucky for Switch-users, Ultra Street Fighter 2: The Final Challengers will be coming to the Switch next month.

Obviously Nintendo has been reveling in bringing back some classics to their most recent console. Whilst The Final Challengers may not be a direct port, it's an updated version of the 1991 title Street Fighter II: The World Warrior.

All of the original fighters will make an appearance, including those from Street Fighter II, and two new additions: Evil Ryu and Violent Ken. Though its look is clearly more modern, you do have a choice to use classic pixel-art graphics for that extra nostalgia vibe.

Thanks to the Joy Cons you can whip the controllers out and challenge a friend if you dare for some fast-paced, couch PvP. Or, if you don't fancy going at each other, you can team up to take on a CPU foe in Buddy Battle mode.

The Final Challengers will be coming to the Switch on May 26th, so dust off your fighting tape.
