It's that time of week again, beloved readers, where we take a glance back at the past seven days and check out which stories you've gone bananas for.

Between exciting updates, Switch-related topics, and surprising launches, it's been no less exciting. So, let's get down to it.

The Switch's blown pixels AREN'T Nintendo's fault

It's true that LED screens may have a couple of blown pixels - it's the nature of the beast - but when sections of the screen are totally unrecognisable, that's when we need to scratch our chin and hold up a finger. I don't think anyone in their right mind would possibly think that those kind of imperfections are meant to be there. Sorry, Nintendo.

Lara Croft GO's expansion is almost here

I won't be the first to tell you how exciting this is. Not only is Lara Croft GO a fierce contender for the best of the series so far, the mobile world has been awaiting Mirrors of Spirits with bated breath. After Sony secured a few months of exclusivity for its platforms, and after the DLC hit Steam last week, it's finally our time to shine.

An arcade in your pocket

I mean, literally. Pocket Arcade is a pocket-sized arcade which offers up four takes on classic arcade games, and apparently you guys kinda dig that. The game's free-to-play, so if you love the arcade but can't find time to head down to your local, give it a go on iOS now.

Kingdom: New Lands casually appears on iOS

It's not a big deal or whatever, but Kingdom: New Lands just felt like coming out on Thursday without warning (of course, I'm joking - it was extremely exciting). Where the game was supposed to come out a month ago, it was delayed due to a few unexplained issues, and, boy, are we glad to see it here at last. £9.99/$9.99 is an investment so if you're on the fence about it, check out our review of the game here. *Spoiler* - it got PG's Gold Award.

Splatoon 2's bringing back some classic weapons

We're all excited about Splatoon 2 for the Switch. Earlier this week, Nintendo got our nostalgia senses a'flowing as it released a list of five weapons we can expect to see again in the upcoming shooter. Where some are pretty much identical to their predecessors, others have been revamped a little to give them an aesthetic or more practical edge. We liked what we saw, and clearly so did you guys.

Well, that's all, folks. Another week rounded up and summarised in a single, simple package. What was your favourite game to come out this week? Let us know in the comments below.

With all that said and done, I'll speak to you again next Sunday for more hot - hot - HOT Five.
