Hot Five: We're still Switch mad, hopes were raised with the NES Mini, and The Shadow Sun goes on sale

We're here once again, beloved readers, as another week draws to a close.

It's been all systems go for the past few days as the Switch launch drew closer, but finally it's born unto the world. Not without its problems, mind. As it so happens GAME's been having a hand in that, but you'll see all that below.

Like last week, we'll take a rundown of the past seven days in Switch as it's certainly been a discussed-beyond-belief topic. Are your bodies ready? Here we go.

Seven days of Switch

There are quite a few articles to nosh on here, so I'm just going to put it in a lovely list. If you're pretty keen on the Switch make sure you give these a whirl.

Back to the Hot - er - few

This is a bit of an outlier in terms of Hot Fives as there are a whole mixture of features, reviews and news bits, but we're back to what we know down here.

Our NES Mini hopes were dashed

This is two articles in one, ladies and gents, as we had a whopping TWO false alarms over the past week. The first article showed us that the NES Mini production was definitely continuing (yay) before the second article dashed our dreams against the rocks (boo).

GAME's in a bit of a hot spot

As you found out above, GAME's not exactly having the best week, and it all started when the gaming giant started cancelling excited buyers' orders out of nowhere. Maybe it was a system error, but most likely it was a sudden realisation that there wasn't enough stock to meet demands. Whoops.

The Shadow Sun goes free for the first time

That pretty much summarises it in one sentence. We liked The Shadow Sun enough to give it a Silver Award in our review, and out of nowhere the fantasy RPG dropped to free from its previous £2.99/$2.99 price tag. At the time this article goes up, it's still on offer so you may as well grab it now.

Robin gets more feminine in Fire Emblem: Heroes

The event's ended now, but at the time Fire Emblem: Heroes launched its then-Grand Hero Battle featuring Female Robin. According to a bunch of different discussions in various forums, the event was a hard but fun one.

What were you excited about this week? Let us know in the comments below! Until then, see you next Sunday, folks.
