Nintendo Switch digital game sizes finally revealed
Plan your cards accordingly
With less than a fortnight to the Switch's release, we've finally got a look at what a few of the game sizes are. Obviously this list isn't definitive, but it's a start.
Nintendo's Switch keynote a month ago revealed that the internal memory of the device was 32 GB - or 25.9 GB after the pre-loaded software takes its cut, as we found out. Though that doesn't sound like an awful lot, it shouldn't be too much of a problem, especially if you're looking to use the physical cards to load your games from.
However, if you're likely to be more of a digital buyer, you may want to invest in a Micro SDXC card. Game size estimates have been thrown about the internet for some time now, and some of them you may find quite surprising.
- Puyo Puyo Tetris - 1.09 GB
- I Am Setsuna - 1.4 GB
- Snipperclips - 1.6 GB
- Nobunaga's Ambition - 5 GB
- Disgaea 5 - 5.92 GB
- Mario Kart 8 Deluxe - 8 GB
- The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild - 13.4 GB
- Dragon Quest Heroes I & II - 32 GB
Like I said, this list certainly isn't exhausted, but it's what we've got so far and confirms that you may have to invest in a little extra storage space if you're looking to have a bunch of games ready to go - especially that monster, Dragon Quest Heroes I & II.
