Set in old Japan, Edo Superstar lets you guide Masaru, an energetic monkey with big ambitions, to be the most popular fighter in the land. As you fight, and hopefully win, you've also got to help Masaru avoid his former ninja clan-mates as they hunt him down for being a bit selfish.

Alongside its attractive art style, the game has RPG elements nestled in the folds as you can upgrade his speed, strength, and special stats. Money collected can also be used to buy special items, such as stat-altering amulets, to get a leg-up in combat.

If this is right up your alley, grab the game on the App Store now for £1.99/$1.99.
