Wire Up is an upcoming arcade game by Pyrognomic in which you thread wires through the required colours, and attempt to build as high a score as you can.

The aim of the game is to thread your wire through each correct colour by tapping up the screen. As you pass certain coloured boundaries you have to match it with the next set of holes (i.e. after passing through a blue boundary you have to tap blue icons, through a red boundary, match red icons, etc.).

The video makes for a much better explanation, but I'll tell you straight and short that Wire Up was surprisingly fun. As a responsive and addictive high score chaser, its core is simple but oddly intense. Thanks to the flood water gaining on you, you're forced to keep up a decent pace as the screen gets more clustered.

Some of you guys may find it a little typical, and there's an element of providing a colour blind-friendly mode that still needs to be addressed, but overall it's a neat game with nice visuals. At the end of the day I kept wanting to play it throughout our meeting, so that's says it an awful lot on its behalf.

There's no release date as of yet, but Wire Up will be free-to-play with ads and IAPs.
