The Switch-exclusive Seasons of Heaven gets a full trailer and it's rather gorgeous
Stunning but haunting
Throw your mind back a couple of weeks and you may remember a Switch-exclusive game called Seasons of Heaven. Well, it's just got a gameplay trailer and it looks rather gorgeous.
Slated for 2018, Seasons of Heaven follows the story of Yann, a young boy with Asperger's syndrome, and his French bulldog Ani. Both characters will be playable as you use each one's features to overcome obstacles and make your way from area to area.
The trailer makes me feel more excited about the game than I thought I would be. Given that the release is over a year away I think we can pass over the slight stiffness of character actions and sections that aren't exactly polished.
However between its hauntingly beautiful soundtrack and stunning, magical world design, it's looking very promising indeed. The beeping of a heart monitor in the beginning followed by the continuous hum as it falls flat is an ominous suggestion as to its title.
Looks like we might be in for a tear-jerker.
