Nintendo collaborates with Universal to bring us three brand-new theme parks
Obviously, they're Nintendo-themed
I don't know about you guys but the idea of a single Nintendo theme park is rather wonderful, let alone three. Soon in Universal Orlando, Universal Los Angeles, and Universal Japan you'll be able to take Super Mario World to a whole new level.
Nintendo announced yesterday that it would be developing a theme park featuring some of their most beloved, and hated, characters across three locations. These will include rides, restaurants, and a bunch of other fun things to lose yourself in.
Judging by Disneyland, Harry Potter World, and the likes of LEGOland there's no way that these parks wouldn't go down a storm. Our editor, Mr Glen Fox, would probably be there on opening day to be the first to hug the first costumed Link walking around.
However I would hope that Nintendo would plan something to make the park unique - something that stands out from the crowd of other theme parks. I guess I'm just hoping to see a full Mario-themed obstacle course (you know, where the pipes are actually slides that lead to another level), but that's probably just a dream and nothing more. *sigh*
