App Army Assemble: Party Hard GO - The closest we'll get to an actual Hitman on iOS and Android?

| Party Hard GO

Party Hard GO is the mobile version of the bloodthursty simulator you've played and loved on PC, in which you strategically murder party guests in any conceivable way - just for the fun of it.

It sounds grim - and it is - but its tongue is firmly in its cheek, and it's comical in a similar fashion to Hotline Miami - with which it shares its visual style.

We'll have the full PG review up shortly, but in the meantime you can read the thoughts of our stalwart selection of mobile games experts in the App Army below.

Chase Geier

I like this so far, despite not being sure exactly what I'm doing. That's to be expected though, as you have to memorise patterns and figure out your plan of attack for each level.

It's rare to see a game that requires quite so much skill as this on mobile.

Tom Clark

This is an interesting game. I don't really get the current trend toward using 8 bit / 16 bit graphics though.

It's a bit tough to play on the iPhone's small screen, but iPad may fare better. It's not my type of game, but it's not that bad.

Olivier Boesch

It's not quite as good as the PC version, thanks to some iffy visuals and control issues, but this is till Party Hard GO on mobile and that's awesome.

It's a great game with you having to be discreet, tactful, and become a murderer from the shadows. Just don't try this at home!

Andy King

This is good fun, with solid core gameplay, great pixel art, and a catchy electronic soundtrack.

The gameplay can feel a little tedious at times though, especially considering that you spend so much time waiting for things to happen. The traps can be quite fun but I feel after a few levels I've seen everything the game has to offer. I hope I'm wrong about that as the core gameplay is strangely fun.

Kainen Ryan

I've had this for a while now and, while it's solid, it doesn't really compare to its genre compatriots like Hotline Miami. I don't object the theme - I just find it a little dull, and don't find myself wanting to return.

It's just too similar to better games I've played elsewhere, and lacks interesting or new mechanics.

Quincy Jones

I love this game! Honestly, who hasn't ever felt like crashing a neighbour's party and shutting it down?

The soundtrack is a masterpiece, and really sets the mood. Each level is really fun as you wander amongst the crowd trying to kill everyone without getting caught.

Alex Gol

The story reminds me the first Postal and it plays like Hitman. I like how the level changes dynamically the further in you get, which makes each playthrough unpredictable and fresh.

Oksana Ryan

There were enough cat and mouse tactics to keep me happy in the beginning, but it didn't offer anything new the further I got in so it ended up feeling quite repetitive.

The narrative between levels provides a good break and offers insight into what's going on. Not a game for that ten minute time waster, but decent if you want a solid challenge.

Tobias Taylor

Music sets the scene nicely, and the visuals remind me of Hotline Miami - I love neon visuals and pixels!

Aaron Burdett

The decent narrative, great soundtrack, and vibrant pixel art made this a fun experience.

Having said that, the levels do get a bit repetitive, and the controls are a bit fiddly. These setbacks aren't enough to take away my enjoyment though. It's well worth it!
