Updated 21st October, 09:18 AM: So it may not be exactly the 20th but the only thing that matters is that Rusty Lake: Roots is finally out.

Updated 18th October, 08:17 AM: I'm excited to tell you guys that as of this Thursday 20th October, we'll be able to buy Rusty Lake: Roots on iOS , Android , Steam , and itch.io .

Good morning one and all, the working week is here again but I've got a feeling it's going to be a good one. Know why? Because Rusty Lake released their first major trailer with the promise that the release date of Rusty Lake: Roots will be announced today.

If you'll turn back the clock to August you'll remember that I had the privilege of meeting the masterminds behind Cube Escape and Rusty Lake: Hotel at Gamescom. The reason I'm so excited about Rusty Lake: Roots is because of how big it is and how much there is to do. In fact it's three-times larger than their previous title, equating to about eight hours of gameplay.

The main goal is to build a family tree as you play through a variety of different levels with different characters. As you progress you unlock more and more pictures, experiencing the beginning and end of your characters' lives so you can continue to build your tree.

Check out more detail in the Gamescom article here and give the trailer a watch below. Fingers crossed Rusty Lake: Roots will be with us any day now on iOS, Android, and itch.io
