Enjoying Invisible, Inc? Here are 6 more brilliant stealth games

| Invisible, Inc.

It's almost too perfect that Invisible, Inc. should sneak onto the App Store unexpectedly this week and catch us unawares. This game is the stealthiest.

If you've been enjoying the game and have a taste for mobile stealth, you're in luck. Invisible, Inc. isn't the only iOS game to nail the mechanics of stealth on your phone or tablet.

We've seen stealthy platformers, stealthy puzzlers, and stealthy first person shooters. The only thing that links them all is a focus on being a sneaky blighter. Oh, and the fact that they're all really good games.

CounterSpy

CounterSpy doesn't just encourage you to be stealthy - it makes you look good while you're doing it. Thank the expertly realised 1960s spy thriller aesthetic and the tongue-in-cheek bravado of the hero.

There's also a wide range of stealthy options for each tight level, whether that be creeping past security cameras or taking out unwitting guards with your silenced pistol.

Stealth Inc.

Here's another stealthy 'Inc.' game. Other than the name and a general feeling of sneakiness, though, Stealth Inc. bears no relation to Invisible, Inc.

It's actually a devious 2D platformer that sees you circumventing a fiendish series of death traps. But the game's unique flavour comes from a brilliant lighting system that lets you skulk in the shadows and evade a deadly security system.

Deus Ex: The Fall

Do you like your stealthy gameplay up close and personal? Check out Deus Ex: The Fall, a first person shooter with third party action elements.

You can choose to go in all guns blazing here, but it's far better played as a stealth game, pressing up against walls and planning your next elaborate takedown. Lethal or non-lethal? It's up to you.

Hitman GO

There are few gaming franchises as obsessed with stealth as Hitman, but Hitman GO takes a rather different approach. It renders the skulking action as a boardgame, and has you moving around your deadly protagonist like a bald, homicidal rook.

Is it a puzzler? Is it a strategy game? Whatever it is, the goal is to evade capture and take out your target.

Perfect Cell

Perfect Cell shows that you don't have to be weak to be the hero of a stealth game, nor do you even have to be human. This golden iOS oldie has you playing as a floating tentacled organism with a number of deadly capabilities.

However, you'll still need to creep around the research facility you're trapped in, taking care to avoid any costly frontal assaults.

Republique

In Republique, the cameras that would be your enemy in any other stealth game are your friend. You hijack the feed and use their elevated perspective to help you spy on guards.

It's then up to you to tell escapee Hope where to go and which crannies to hide in. Clever, tense stuff.
