Applepine Games' artistic creation, Inklings!, is pretty as a picture – and it's headed to iOS later this week.

A little like Lemmings, mixed with Portal, mixed with a large dose of LSD, Inklings! is a game about mind over matter…and mentality. Featuring hand-drawn, artsy levels, this addictive puzzler uses fantastical items such as the Portal gun, flip gravity, explosions, and much more to reach the goal. It's your job to save the poor, helpless Inklings from a cruel mistress of art and just plain bad luck.

What I love about this game is that there's so much going on, and all of it is based on classic and contemporary art pieces, such as Monet's Water Lilies or Kandinsky's Several Circles. You can also mould the level to your own design by taking advantage of its drawable canvases, and by dragging and dropping terrain.

As I mentioned above, Inklings! will be coming to iOS this Thursday 6th October and will be a premium title, so get ready.
