Updated 8th September, 14:30 PM: Sushi-roll up, roll up! The digital adaption of the delicious - I mean - quirky card game, Sushi Go!, is now out on iOS.

Head over to the App Store now and pick it up for £3.99/$4.99.

Sushi is awesome. It's delicious, nutritious, and looks super cute when you slap a Japanese chibi face on it. No, I haven't had a screw come loose, I'm just getting ready for Sushi Go! as it releases this Thursday 8th September on iOS.

As Lummox Labs' digital representation of Phil Walker-Harding's unique card game, Sushi Go, the Sushi Go app features everything we love about the original game and a little more.

For those not familiar with the game it looks pretty complicated at first but once you get the hang of the rules, it's pretty simple. Played in several rounds, each player has to pick a card from their dealt hand before passing the rest of their hand over to the person next to them. You'll then reveal your cards to each other before repeating this process until there are no cards left. At the end of each round scores are tallied up based on what combinations you've managed to make and eventually someone will win.

What makes this game interesting is its use of strategy over luck. Eventually everyone will know what cards are in what hand and you can take cards to help yourself, or to hinder someone else. You can either play locally against AI opponents, or online against friends using the Game Centre, and you have over 25 achievements to unlock.

Sushi Go releases this Thursday 8th September for £3.99/$4.99 on iOS. We'll let you know when it's available.
