Once in a blue moon there comes a game that grabs your attention for all the right reasons. Thanks to our meeting with ATGames, we got a much closer look at the upcoming arcade/interactive story game, Full of Stars.

The idea of the game is to get you and your ship of scared civilians safely to the Blue Point, a safe haven on the other side of the galaxy. It's your job to keep the peace and keep morality high through a series of disastrous events. If your morality is kept high, your crew will continue to make calm decisions and get everyone safely to their destination. However if your morality drops, people start dying and disappearing.

With at least 150 scenes so far, a whopping ten hours per story (with multiple different stories to play through), a variety of ship upgrades, and a fantastic score composed by Marcin Przybytowicz (The Witcher 3), I'd say Full of Stars is very impressive beneath its simple, 90s exterior.

You wouldn't think the two genres would mix very well initially but God knows it's something we need more of. The mixture of quick arcade levels to move closer to your destination twinned with a rich story-driven narrative which allows you to choose your path is wonderfully balanced, appealing especially to players with short attention spans: the action keeps you on your toes; the story keeps you invested.

Due out in the first quarter of 2017, Full of Stars will be free to play with in-app purchases. However it will absolutely not be pay-to-win, so don't even think about it.

On the total opposite end of the stick – if the stick was a mile long – comes ATGames' Laser Kitty Pow Pow. No, seriously. It's got lasers, kitties, and a multitude of other elements that are totally bonkers.

More traditionally an arcade game, Laser Kitty Pow Pow is a fast-paced shooter where you've got to defend your crystal from invading ninjas. It'll be free to play with IAPs such as unlocking different skins, and each skin unlocked has a different property.

Due out in the first quarter of 2017, this game will be one for those retro-heads who love a good, high-scored-based, fast-paced, laser-shooting, ninja butt-booting arcade game.
